The holiday season at Singita is a time for longer stays and lie-ins. Surreal Sweni.

#OurSingitaThis is not a Singita 60 Seconds of Calm video but it could be 🐆 *Immediately watches 3 times in a row because it’s just so soothing.

#OurSingitaPOV: Waking up here the day after your gorilla trek for a slow and reflective morning at the lodge.

Singita Volcanoes National Park is full of surprises. When @awprivatetravel first checked in, the volcanoes were wrapped in clouds and very on brand for that “Gorillas In The Mist” mood. By departure day, the view had completely transformed into this.

#OurSingitaBursting onto the scene at Singita Pamushana, an Impala Lily tree in full bloom is a wonderful example of art in nature.

#OurSingitaEvery day is a new beginning for Grace Uwingabire, Lodge Manager at Singita Volcanoes National Park 🇷🇼

Born and raised in a small village in the eastern part of Rwanda, Grace is no stranger to the endless beauty of Rwanda’s natural legacy. In search of new horizons, she moved to Kigali to pursue an opportunity in the tourism industry. At first, working in a hotel was a somewhat misunderstood career choice to her community, but it is now something they are extremely proud of.

This is her story.

#OurSingitaWe rise before the sun to fully experience the most beautiful time of day out in the bush.

A stay at Singita includes twice daily game drives for all our guests.

#OurSingitaWe are delighted to learn that Singita Sasakwa Lodge in Tanzania has been named the World’s Leading Safari Lodge in the 2023 @worldtravelawards. After two decades of welcoming guests to the Serengeti, our magnificent home on Sasakwa Hill still resonates deeply with our guests and for that we could not be more grateful.

Asante sana 🙏

#OurSingita #Singita30When we talk about offering life-changing experiences for people at Singita, it goes well beyond our guests.

The Singita Community Culinary School (SCCS) is one of our most meaningful community partnership initiatives. It was founded at Singita Kruger National Park in 2007 with the vision to nurture the talent and enthusiasm of young aspiring chefs from the rural communities living alongside our lodges. This successful model has expanded regionally, and today, there are three Singita Community Culinary Schools located across South Africa, Tanzania and Rwanda.

Our focus for #GivingTuesday is these aspiring chefs:

Sponsor a student to attend the SCCS - your sponsorship will cover the student’s annual tuition, uniforms, personal kitchen equipment, ingredients, room & board, transport, and monthly stipend. The current cost to sponsor a one-year scholarship is USD 12,500.

Contribute an amount of your choosing to the SCCS Scholarship Fund – all donations received will go towards supporting a scholarship, with a target of 10 students per campus (30 students regionally).

By donating to the Singita Community Culinary School, you are changing the life and career trajectory of talented future chefs, which in turn impacts their families and the community as a whole.

Greeting a new day with movement and breathwork at Singita Pamushana in Zimbabwe.

#OurSingitaDid you know? The lilac-breasted roller is the symbol on the logo for the #SingitaLowveldTrust (SLT), our conservation partner in South Africa.

As we celebrate our 30th year in luxury ecotourism, we also reflect on the strong conservation foundations laid down to secure, safeguard and preserve these iconic landscapes in which we operate, for future generations.

Our new conservation brochure, Power of Purpose, is a showcase of what is possible when an impactful network of conservation partners joins hands.

Superb sighting by Field Guide @kaymcclelland 🎥

#OurSingitaWe can never spend too much time in nature and combining two (or more) Singita destinations offers a culturally diverse and profound experience of Africa.

Singita Castleton is set within a vast and untouched wilderness in South Africa’s Sabi Sand Game Reserve. With this African farmhouse as a supremely comfortable home away from home, our guests are free to enjoy exclusive game-viewing opportunities in an area fondly known as “Big Cat Country”.

Neighbouring South Africa to the north, Zimbabwe (Zim, for short) is also a country of great eco-tourism significance. With its dramatic landscapes and ancient sites, and a nation renowned for its warmth, it’s culturally and scenically a marvel. Singita’s properties in Zim inhabit a particularly remarkable landscape and a stay at Singita Malilangwe House offers families and groups of friends private bush travel at its very best.

The best of both! 🇿🇦🇿🇼

A moment of peace at Singita, because we know how much you love those little lion cubs in the wild.

#OurSingitaThe Singita Boulders Lodge experience is gentle and deeply considered. From every comfort in our 12 sprawling suites, to the places and occasions for connection presented in the main lodge and out in the bush, our guests have the opportunity to shift something within and leave a more soft and soulful person.

#OurSingita #WellnessIsWholeness

Have you experienced the magic of Singita Sabi Sand yet?Water is a source of life and beauty, and no place is this more apparent than in the remote tranquility of the African bush.

Fishing at Malilangwe dam below Singita Pamushana lodge is a fun and rewarding way to experience this wonder firsthand. The dam is accessible only to Singita guests making this a private fishing in untouched nature experience like no other.

Drop in a lure and see what bounty the day will bring, while your guide and tracker show you how the locals catch fish using plants found in the area. Singita Pamushana boasts excellent game fishing throughout the year including tiger fish, bass, tilapia, and catfish.

#OurSingita“Even though we share 96% of our DNA with Gorillas, they represent the best of us as primates. They love unconditionally and are not driven by greed.”

Singita is a living and breathing legacy with no finish line, and when we talk about our 100-year purpose to preserve and protect large areas of African wilderness for future generations, it’s not only for our guests and their children and grandchildren and great grandchildren, but very much for our own people too.

30 years in, forever to go.

#OurSingitaA Hide & Seek Tracker test! What animal can you spot? 👀

#OurSingita“What activities do you have for kids and families?” is one of the most frequently asked questions we get at Singita.

The Singita experience encourages an appreciation of the wilderness from a very young age and time spent on game drives is some of the most sacred, but once back at the lodge (or your private villa), bonding time continues through games, sports, cooking classes, and more.

Link in bio to browse our family brochure or DM us if you have any questions.

P.S. If you’d like us to confiscate your kid’s phones for the duration of the trip, we can do that too 😉 But otherwise we will encourage them to use them to take wildlife photos and clips.
